~ Stimulating, easy read, good to pass on to a friend ~

This book came to me out of the blue. The same day that I came across a review of it on a site I visit to help me interpret my dreams, I had a conversation with my mother who lives half way across the world telling me that her chiropractor had recommended the same book to her the day before. When a pattern is presented to me in which there are many signs pointing in the same direction, I don't often think twice about moving in that direction. When the signs are coupled with a strong gut feeling, there is no question in my mind that I am being guided for a reason and accept that this is something I am meant to experience.

Reading Newton's book was both a clarifying and entertaining experience. This is not a book that I would keep in my sacred library of esoteric tomes, but it does present many ideas and concepts that embodied souls on Earth will find comforting to read.

Reading this book helped me understand the significance of human emotions and the effects they have not only on our ability to process experiences but also on how heightened emotions can inhibit communication with the spirit world. The book also gave me a sense of the unconditional love and acceptance that we have for one another in spirit form and how easily we can forget about this love when living our lives as humans.

If you ever thought that you were going crazy because you remembered things that were ‘out of this world’ or carried memories of past experiences that you couldn't easily explain, this book may provide you with solace that you aren't alone. It may also show you that there is much more substance and purpose behind those special memories than you think.

The reason that I wouldn't classify this as a true book of wisdom is because the majority of it is written and presented to the reader from the perspective of the author. It is not meant as a textbook or encyclopedia of answers to the secrets of eternal life. Instead, I see it as a painting made by the author of how he sees the phenomenon of death, existence in disembodiment, reincarnation and some of the processes that connect these stages for each of us.

I realize that there are those of you who will or have read this book and will feel like it has described perfectly what they feel to be the truth but didn't know how to put into words. There will also be those who will think that it's full of idealistic conjecture from people who desperately want to believe in something and after watching lots of sci-fi movies, have come up with these stories. I fall more into the first group, except that as I was reading the book, there were moments when I felt that the reader wasn't given accurate information or that there were large gaps that should have been explained further. Although, when I say this, I realize that I am judging the book based on my experiences on Earth and as a soul with many stories to tell and a bit of a resistance to share them.

This book has given me one thing that I already knew but that was so comforting to read again: The moments when I lock eyes with a seeming stranger and sense that we've met before are real. One of the worst things that we can do as students on the playground of Earth is doubt ourselves. If you feel that something isn't right, then make the choice to change it. And when you know deep inside that the person you met five minutes ago is someone you've known for thousands of years, trust yourself. The more often you hear that little voice inside, the better you are getting to know yourself. Journey of Souls may just help you learn to trust yourself a little bit more and you may find that the more you learn about yourself, the more you will be able to accept and appreciate the amazing being of Light that you are!
